About Me

Hi, my name is Mariah Cox, or “Miss Mariah.” I am currently a student at Blue River working towards my Associates of Arts in Teaching. Upon completion, I will transfer to Park University to attain my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education.

I have a lot of experience working with children, as I have 12 brothers and sisters and many, many cousins. For the past three years, I have worked at Berkley Child and Family Development Center, a NAEYC-accredited center, working closely with infants and toddlers. I have worked at Randall Elementary as a Teacher's Assistant for Mrs. Kate Clisso since August 2016, working with Pre-Kindergarten students.

I am currently with my best friend, Devin, and have been for 5 years (high school sweethearts!). We are expecting our first child in September 2017. We also have a mean, fat cat named Jeffree. We rescued him when he was nine months old, and he is now four years old. I like to spend my free time hanging out with family, fishing, bowling, going to the golf course with Devin, taking my nieces and nephews to the park, zoo, and aquarium, and babysitting for some amazing families.

I am so excited to be in the classroom with your kiddos during such an important transitional time in their lives. I hope to learn more about your wonderful families throughout the year. I encourage you to ask any questions that may arise. Thank you, and here’s to a great year!
